Statement of Faith
God, the Creator and sustainer of the universe, while being one God, has revealed Himself in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and yet is one God.
The Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation and regeneration of lost and sinful man. Only by means of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the Christian enabled to live the Godly life to which the Bible calls all people. Jesus Christ existed with the Father from the beginning and is therefore wholly God. The Father sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to this world for the purpose of re-establishing our relationship with the Father. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, taking on a human nature and living a sinless life. In order to fulfill His purpose in coming, Christ became the substitutionary sacrifice for all the sin of the world as He died upon the cross and as He bodily rose to heaven to intercede for us as High Priest. In the days ahead, Jesus Christ will come to judge the living and the dead as the righteous judge.
The Bible, the infallible, authoritative Word of God, was verbally inspired by the Holy Ghost in the original autographs of the Old and New Testaments and was without error in all it affirms. Neither deletions nor additions thereto are according to scripture.
Man, having been created by God in His Image, sinned against God and thereby severed a relationship with God and fell into a continuing state of sin and separation from God. No one can know God unless he believes in the name of Jesus Christ, accepts Him as his personal Savior and thereby receives salvation through Him. Salvation, a gift of God’s grace, is attained only by faith in Jesus Christ. Communion with God and the rewards afforded are everlasting, as are the separation and punishment for those who do not receive Him.
Marriage, we believe, has been ordained and created by God to exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity and we are committed to the home and family as set forth in Holy Scripture. The Bible states specific home and family values, which include the distinct roles of husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, and children. It is our firm conviction that we uphold the dignity of each individual as we embrace the unchanging and longstanding principles of scriptural truth.
